Aloha et Bonjour dear Readers.

In response to recent happenings around our beautiful planet,  I decided to share a bit of personal philosophy with you.  Wishing each of you complete positivity and fulfillment in your lives .. a multitude of enriching ideals in your souls.

Cheers et Santé for a better world.

_______

Hopes .. dreams .. ideas .. motivation .. peace .. needs .. paths .. desires .. talents .. and countless other words and terms we aspire to incorporate within our reality
are worthless without the addition of  ...  Action.

****

Becoming self realized is the simplistically achieved fruit of deep contemplation.

Acting self realized is the obligatory sharing of that fruit.

****

I  pray mankind embraces and practices self realized Action ... for peace and harmony

from Kauai to Paris ... and all places between

Bill

Thanks Dad .. I continue to have faith that humankind will become enlightened and act in a "Higher" manner than we are currently experiencing. What a shame we seem to have the need to suffer as a prerequisite to grow .. and a larger shame that we stand by and watch as others suffer. In this sense, I suppose Action is akin to Courage and Inaction, with knowledge of negativity and wrong doing, is married to Cowardice. Once we have acquired the knowledge, I do believe it is our duty and obligation to take Action for a better world. We can all contribute in one manner or another. Thank you, Dad, for reading.

Just being kind and generous to one another would be all we needed to remedy so much of mankind's woes. Thanks for your most thoughtful words...especially those in the reply to your Dad.

The hibiscus (?) blossom is magnificent! Your treat to us as winter approaches.....

Cynthia, you are so correct .. a little Golden Rule Action goes a long way! Glad everyone is enjoying the Hibiscus. That particular plant sits alongside our driveway and is very special. The plant itself is a dwarf, so it is amazing to see the beautiful 6 to 8 inch diameter flowers when they come. Mahalo et Merci Cynthia for your insight and your comments .. always appreciated and enjoyed!

Remaining calm, non-judgmental/non-reactive is part of slogging through the utter madness of much that is occurring now, nationally & internationally. It easily seems overwhelming. The inward work is the first step for me; action in the world takes many forms, and as has been said, kindness is a primary action we all can take everywhere. Many times a day we have a choice to contribute to regaining sanity in our world. A thousand baby steps, and if that is all we can muster, I think--I hope--it can be enough, right here and right now.

Pat .. what a pleasure to see your name and read your comment! We are all blessed you are here. I trust all is good.

After doing a quick "recap read" of today's comments, I feel happy. Happy to know the Universal Laws of Good are firmly in place .. automatically gifting us when we spend the time and effort to take Action in our purely unique and individual ways .. and happy we are automatically gifted with the company of like souls as we strive to create a wonderful world through our thoughts and deeds.

Thank You! Mahalo Nui! Merci Beaucoup! You are the best Readers Ever and I am a Lucky Man !!!!

p.s. I join the crowd (from your last post) in cheering "hip-hip" that you have returned to blogging!--we missed you those weeks you were absent. Happy to report that recovery has been swift and at 8 weeks out, I am feeling well. I am CERTAIN your dear sweet call to me in the hospital, and the well-wishes of others here, were a big boost in that direction.

With respect to your heart's desire to spread peace and loving kindness to the world, to foster meaningful change, I would like to share the following, chanted at Upaya (Santa Fe, NM) at the end if the day:

Let me respectfully remind you:
Life and death are of supreme importance,
Time passes swiftly and opportunity is lost.
Let us awaken, awaken. Take heed:
Do not squander your life.

Sans doubte, Bill, you are living out this reminder and are opening a circle of like-minded others to support one another.

"Hooray"

Once again, I'm nourished by your words. I wish everyone representing all of us would head your insight and "take action". I for one am moving forward with positivity. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, big, red hibiscus...paradise explained.

Gorgeous red hibiscus! I have been surprised to find that I can grow some of my Florida plants here in Alabama although some must be planted in flowerpots and brought inside or to a protected area during winter. As a comment on the step you would like to take to be comfortably poor or living with the bare necessities as the bear sang in the Disney song, I believe that is the best view of material goods. I'm sure you have noticed that some people are happy with very little money while the opposite is true with some who have very much. Here is an idea for pursuit. Why not interview some "have nots" who are happy? Also, why not talk to some of the "got rocks" who are happy and have kept their balance? What fulfills these people? Next thing you know, you will have Bill's documentary going. Why not? But don't forget to include the beautiful flowers! Love them, love them!

"Acting" self-realized may not be enough. There's something to be said about "being", when others can tell simply by your actions and attitude that you've arrived in part of your own quest for knowledge of self. Thank you for your positivity and words of encouragement.

Nathan, Thank YOU for following my blog and taking the time to comment. I agree with you .. "Being" is the ultimate gift from God .. what I believe we should all seek. Taking Action as we are directed by His voice (aka our inner voice) propels us along the path to "Being". I'm honored to be thanked for the positivity and encouragement I am blessed to share. Mercy beaucoup et Mahalo
