One more time I have gone to and returned from la belle France. One more time I have enacted many of the routines I've enacted for thirty years past. But this time was unique .. this time included an epiphany of major consequence to my psyche .. to my spiritual self .. to my core life process. This time, the question to ponder shone through the haze of uncertainty with forcefulness I could not, and cannot, ignore. As always, the simplicity of higher thinking leaves me smiling, shaking my head in wonder, and questioning why I didn't grasp and understand the concept sooner. Such is higher learning .. growth spurts come suddenly, with clarity which begs the question "Why in the world didn't I previously understand?". There is no room nor time for regretting my past lack of knowledge, so I sit here smiling .. enjoying the gift at this very moment .. in the present .. not concerned with what has passed or what the future holds. I trust today's actions will be directly reflected in tomorrow's reality. Therefore, I live today in happiness and positivity, with firm belief my future will be forged by the affirmative base of "now" living.
I have "known" the message conveyed above for many years .. the epiphany, the gift I was just blessed with in Paris is knowledge of how to be in the moment. How to not let past negativity deform or influence present happiness. How to trust present action will lay a positive foundation for future happiness.
This bit of knowledge could have come at any time in any place, but for me it came while I was in my most cherished of all places .. Paris. Not Paris of the Eiffel Tower, nor Paris of the Seine, nor sidewalk cafe's, nor any other cliché's .. but the Paris which has forever swirled through my being via sounds and aromas and ethereal history like no other space I've ever experienced.
