 My mirror spoke clearly as eyes locked on eyes .. Stark truth exploded facts not disguised. Finally that moment self realized .. Jolted - Awakened by deep primal cries. Questions of destiny answered at last .. No more surmising future or past. Path defined awaiting my feet Exercise courage mistakes don't repeat. Angst for life wasted weakened the flame .. then the tears came then the tears came Facker

Merci from Paris, Patty .. in one sense, heartbreaking .. but exhilarating to enjoy self realization and relish the moment .. NOW. I'm very happy this one touched you .. possibly the most honest and telling post I've ever written. Personal growth can only occur when we look in our mirror and accept the truth within those eyes. The tears of regret are cleansing .. allowing us to move forward, happily living the present as the past is forgotten. Thank you for being a part of my NOW !

I am just seeing this now. As with the others here (and I am sure many more who simply had to take time to think about this), I am very deeply moved by what you wrote. Because you know very well that I am on that path too. There are days when I can't quite look myself squarely in the eyes, and others when I can. Namaste, wonderful friend.
Heather, the fact we are aware and seeing "this" makes "this" a joyful occasion. Many are never so fortunate. I believe the initial shock and pain of self realization dissipates, to be replaced with joy of a new life. Rocket, my wonderfully creative friend, I wish you joy of a new life. Karen, this comment is so meaningful to me. The most difficult task any writer faces is digging deep within and summoning the courage to display oneself on the page. Expressing self truth is a task I have vowed to constantly adhere to .. after all, what else does any individual have to offer others but our own experience .. anything else is mere speculation.
