The battle rages ..
word arrows flung ..
violence in the streets.

Humanity ages ..
now covered in dung ..
as pride and greed repeats.

Enhanced technology ..
entranced videology ..
mesmerized fools we are.

Insert nose in ass
of the one in front ..
as they guide us from afar.

One would think we learn ..
from history discern ..
power is nasty delusion.

The winner is clear ..
neither there nor here ..
but within .. transcending confusion.

Almost too true to face up to. We DO just follow as we watch and wait. 'Do we expect the world to tilt and change? We each occupy one small corner. Maybe we can work to make it better? I so like your ending--""within transcending confusion".

Hello, again, Bill. You got that right, "mesmerized fools." Indeed! I am ashamed to think how much time I too-often waste "plugged in" to one device or another.

"Pride and greed," though are a far greater concern these days as our goofball government dropkicks our country into a big(ger) mess. It is a time like never before to get behind the causes we believe in & devote ourselves to helping those who need the most & are being left behind.
Humanity always cries out for those with eyes to see, ears to hear and voices willing and able to speak truth. I appreciate your thoughtful, and obviously deep-felt words, Bill. Best to you on the beautiful island!

Thank you so much, Patty, for your always welcome and heartfelt insight. Interestingly, those who "need the most" are often those who "have the most" .. let's hope they awaken soon and join those who are already in the process of evaluating what "the most" is. When this occurs there will be no "causes" .. no division .. no choice of which side to take. This wonderful awakening will happen only when every individual goes within for truth and guidance. I'm fully aware this is a Utopian dream, but dreams come true when the dedicated few continue to believe and manifest them. I will continue on that path .. a path I believe will lead to peace and prosperity among us Humanoids. Thank you so much, Patty, for your very positive input in that direction.

I often say I have faith in humanity. People laugh as if I am sticking my head in the sand. I keep the faith anyway. The world is a better place as we help those around us.

Bravo, Karen! I believe true courage is exhibited by those who continue to focus on transcending current reality and bravely tolerate ridicule as they participate in creating a new world .. a world devoid of politics, devoid of suffering. This "place" can only be understood and accomplished with complete focus on higher values .. values obtained from within through self realization and unselfish empathetic action .. giving. I'm not pretending to be at that level, but I'm certainly aware and intend to continue making it a part of my consciousness until it manifests. I'm so lucky to be in contact with you and others like you.
