Written while flying from Paris .. when pain is always strongest ...

France / She

On my Skin
in my breath
never to dissipate

Merged with my being
not worn away
forgotten
polluted

So entrenched
She has become my essence
a portion of physical presence
pulse
soul

She causes my muse
creativity
passion
intellect

Swirling within Her air flows the rich broth of humanity

Bill,
I understand the sadness. I have often felt it when I am there in France, not just the departure sadness. When I am there in the place I love so much, I feel some of the happiness slip from my heart when I think it is likely impossible to live there. However, I have gradually adjusted to that reality. I'm glad that you had your time in France. Now, you can plan and look forward to the next. I have the Provence with a side-trip to Malta on my future 2015 agenda, Meanwhile, I plan to plant tiny broccoli and cabbage plants today. Hope you are fine as frog's hair today!
