Curiosity struck me
asked "How many are we?"
mere humans riding the blue green sphere

T'was February '19
last census popped right up
on my electrified plastic gear

Never has an answer roared
so clearly "Contemplate!"
commanding this man to awaken

7.71 Billion
existing just like me
living laughing crying .. then taken

_______

I did contemplate as told
voice heckling in my head
knowing I clearly lack the power

Reality came quickly
we cannot comprehend
but as one we can smell sweet flowers

Smell the flowers, look up and have sun hit your face, step outside at night and look at the moon. So basic yet so hard for us to do.

Hi,Bill! Glad to see your msg today. Being in nature is the best, especially out on a trail anywhere. Here in SW Virginia the woods are greening fast and the sounds of nature awakening are so beautiful. The trilling of the frogs (tree frogs, I think) started last week and I love that sound. Walking in the woods is my favorite meditation. Enjoy your spring, Bill—it’s always good to hear from you. I am thankful for the connection!

Good Morning from Tucson, Patty ! Your area of Virginia sounds beautiful .. so happy you are enjoying the delights of Spring! After many years on Kauai, I am reveling in our newfound desert home, where the cactus flowers are putting on quite a show. Nature .. the healer .. the place we all should be spending more time, particularly in this techno-age we humans have created. I am thankful for our connection as well, Patty. How fortunate I am to have this connection with like minded souls! Thank You!
