 I watch them fly dip and dive hover zip and chatter No pattern there do as they dare really doesn't matter Impassioned ones erratic surge all acting as they wish Their wings pulsate hum hummingbirds sweet notes with every swish Cheap thrill I feel because of them unbridled love and envy They validate my crazy life excitement borne of frenzy oh yeah ... Hummingbirds are so beautiful, how they flutter and fly. Not a care in the world for the moment. The colors are amazing!
Karen, I agree with you, they are such magnificent creatures .. and feisty too! The pictured bird is Pretty Boy, my favorite of the large group who regularly inhabit the lanai where I've placed feeders. He is also the Alpha Male and pretty much runs the show.
