Her ... November 13

In youth I met Her ..
My heart raced
My mind spun.

A fleeting romance
constrained by time
impassioned by discovery

Her beauty immeasurable
Her taste exhilarating
Her aroma unforgettable

Life tore Her from me
physically ripped away ..
seemingly in memoriam forever

Years later
second life occurred
Her essence reappeared

More beautiful than memory
More invigorating than possible
Her existence sweetly overwhelming

I love Her ..
Her perfection
Her imperfection

On this day of Her pain
my warm tears flow ..
flow to soothe Her

Tears to wash
the memory of blood
from Her injured soul

Tears for clearing
eyes of the world
for higher vision

I beg everyone ..
shed healing tears for Her today ..

Je t'aime France .. Je t'aime

Bill, your beautiful words, your belle France survives while the many worn & weary, sad and heartbroken still search for healing and solace. The barbarism in our age is not to be dismissed as it gives voice to a deep rift between people. I do not know how the great divides that separate people will be healed. So much anger. I realized Wednesday morning that the great rift in America is worse than I knew. Pain & suffering propel us to unknown times. All I know is that I am more determined than ever to find ways to serve those in need, to stay out of arguments and bitterness like that I saw on FaceBook. I simply closed my account or went inactive.

Take up your beautiful country, hold it fast in your mind, in your heart. I am feeling a deep need to be in wild open spaces, to keep to a quiter life, less distracted. To do as you are doing with your poetry, to create, create, create wherever, however I can. Thank you Bill, for gathering us together and opening a space for healing. We are all in this together.

Namaste, with much appreciation....Patty

Patty .. Thank you so very much for these words and the wisdom which accompanies them. You've struck on the very entity I believe is being lost in our new "Technological Society" .. communing with nature. We would all be wise to become intimate with "the wide open spaces" and fill ourselves with the peacefulness that only resides there. Mahalo et Merci for blessing me with your readership! Bill

Bill, I noticed your words about the wide open spaces that fill us with peacefulness and "that only resides there". Take heart, there are still millions of people residing in peace around the world who enjoy the solace of the beauty of the earth and even with poor circumstances. Hope lies within reach. OK, I'll hush for now, but I thought I would say a few words to a gentleman who shares beautiful words and pictures of magnificent orchids free for anyone to enjoy. All the best, Debbie

Debbie, thank you for these words. As I think about it, possibly those with the "poorest" of circumstances are actually the "richest" of us when they are aligned with nature. So glad to get your timely remark .. I was just beginning to read your blog post today when I received a long Sunday phone call. I will happily return to "A French Opportunity-La Ruche" and enjoy what you've written. As always, Mahalo et Merci for sharing! Bill

Heather .. dear, creative Heather .. I thought I'd take a moment to find the complete meaning of "Namaste", because I realized I didn't know exactly what it meant. I found the following: " The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another." Therefore, I accept and reciprocate this beautiful word and its beautiful meaning from a beautiful person. Mahalo et Merci, Bill

Such beautiful words. How did we forgot that we could have different points of view but still have respect for each other.

I will continue to spread kindness because I believe the more kindness spread the more healing will happen.
