It seems

It seems ... every meaningful conversation I've enjoyed with another person lately has touched on the condition of our planet.

It seems ... every person I have enjoyed an environmental conversation with lately has specific and definitive ideas about how to repair Mother Earth.
One would think we are awakening ..

but

It seems ...
more creatures are dying

It seems ...
more people are starving

It seems ...
more pollution is occurring

It seems ...
more soldiers are killing

Flowers say nothing
they are beautiful
they smell good
and to my knowledge

they never kill anything

It seems ...
We might be wise to stop having conversations
and
start being flowers

from Kauai to Paris .. and all places between

Wishing each of you the peace, beauty, and serenity of a flower

Aloha et Au revoir

SO true, Bill. It's a topic we always talk about at our house. Yes, I would LOVE to become a flower; but how to decide what kind? Hope you're enjoying your time with your son. Let's talk soon.

Sonja .. Every human is a potential flower .. we just need to start acting like it. I'm having a wonderful visit with my Son and Daughter in Law, thank you! I'll look forward to that talk.

Bill

So loved taking in your post. I think what you say is true to all, even when people don't realize it, we all connect deeply with flowers. I've been posting photos of the beautiful flowers around me in Bangkok lately on my Instagram account, and I have so many people around the world respond to those images and feel a resonance with them. We are all pieces of the universe and of nature so when we center ourselves on the flower I feel that deep part of ourselves goes home. Thank you sharing, sending love,
X

Flowers give us so much, beyond their beauty and aroma, they give us hope that nature can continue to produce. If each of us does just one little thing to caress Mother Earth, think how happy she would be!

The pictures are breathtaking.

I always enjoy your thoughtful and beautiful posts and I'm all for each soul on this earth trying to emulate a flower. What a world it would be! For the first time in years, I have a row of zinnias in my vegetable garden which have grown as high as my waist. Their colorful blooms attract so many butterflies that I am loath to cut any of them for a bouquet. As always, you brighten my day. Mille mercis!

Bill,
It seems....eventually, we'll all be food for our beautiful, speechless flower friends. Until then, I believe I'll choose to be a wild, bright orange Tiger Lily, swaying to and fro dancing with Kauai's soft tradewinds..
Thank you, Bill for continuing to spread your light and love to all. See you in a few months.

Bill, "it seems" that you are one of those flowers we could become. Thankfully, for us your readers, we share in your lovely world of beautiful flowers and sweet stories about life around you.

When I read your post last week, it during the terrible violence in our beautiful mountain valley town, Roanoke. Two of our most beautiful flowers were lost, as they reported live from the lake, gunned down by a very troubled soul. It was too much. The task before us is to remember and focus on their beauty and in whatever ways we can to bring sanity and kindness to the world. Despite the immediacy of this violence, I believe there is far greater love and generosity in our world. We mostly hear about the other stuff, the pain, sadness and suffering. I don't follow news, or read about it much. Too too many words, yes. Too much!

Thank you for your clear shining slice of bright light, beauty, and gentle goodness reminding us that there is another way. I will be a flower today, maybe a remnant of a sunflower. They are now going to seed, and I rejoice that there are many seeds in each for potential flowers next year. The birds thrive on them. Some become tasty treats for us. The imperative of life and rebirth go on and I want my thoughts and words and actions to be seeds of kindness. I keep t r y i n g. Mille mercis, as ever.

Patty, I share your sadness about the event in Roanoke. The only remedy is to continue "generating light" in our lives .. it is impossible for darkness to occupy the same space. A very sincere "Thank You" for this comment, Patty

Bill,
I just enjoyed catching up on your blog stories and beautiful photography. "It seems" that you have been up to some deep thinking. We wish others would do the same, but whether that happens or not, making a firm decision for ourselves is paramount.

Debbie .. I agree with you .. "making a firm decision for ourselves is paramount" and taking the action to apply that decision is an absolute necessity. What "works in progress" we are! Nice "seeing" you .. I know you are preparing for your next French Experience and I'll look forward to reading about it as the venture unfolds!

Mahalo et Merci,
Bill
