It hits at the most unexpected time .. the urge to be there. Wherever I may be when the feeling overwhelms me is always a place other than that place. No matter how much I love or cherish the space I'm occupying at the "Moment of Impact" this unforeseen entity rushes over my entire being with tsunami force, causing me to exhibit displays of uncharacteristically bizarre behavior. I suspect you all know the feeling. I suspect you've experienced the same melancholy moments of wanting to be there.
I've yet to determine what it is that triggers me .. what it is that institutes unrest regarding the present .. desire for that other reality .. pain for what is missing at this precise moment in time. There are no obvious answers to the dilemma .. to the great frustration of wanting, but never completely fulfilling, whatever it is that needs filling up.
Endless Possibilities ... Places to Infinity ...
Is it the great joke of creation .. that we shall seek and seek and seek .. never being completely fulfilled or satisfied?
I think not.
It is a magnificent gift to all .. the "forever" given to each of us for exploration and personal growth. The only joke is self imposed by those who fail to realize the magnitude of our communal gift from the Universe.
When "it" hit me, not wanting to be amongst those who may chance being considered "self imposed jokes", I hurriedly purchased a ticket to France. Oddly, the melancholy is rapidly subsiding as the elusive answer presents itself ... whispering ...
