 I've been busy living free places to go places to be people to love people to flee and the trees continue to stand there Shifting reality written in sand jumpin' and jivin' to our human band live every minute 'cause nothin' is planned be the leaves fluttering softly Discovering self ignites cosmic light embracing self provides pure delight unbridled happiness void of all strife now your roots will hold forever Facker September 3, 2017

Nothing quite like a big old tree with its huge wandering branches just beckoning to be sat upon while wondering who else has sat there pondering life. I do love trees both big and small.

Trees are such a delight. Living in the desert, our trees are so different. I forget what a great canopy they can be on trails and in forests. When I am around those big majestic trees, they take my breath away and yes I do hug them. Just because it feels so good!
Aha! So you are the Arizona Serial Hugger I've heard so much about. There's a rumor going around that you have even been know to hug a Saguaro or two .. you are a brave woman, Karen Cafarella, a brave woman .... and a good woman, whom I am glad graces the comments section of this blog with your presence.

I thoroughly enjoyed your poem today! From early childhood I have been impressed by trees: the huge live oaks of the south to the tall loblollies in our yard which must be almost one hundred years old. When the wind blows gently though those pines, it's a sound you will always remember, nature's music at its best. Many thanks. Leave a Reply. |
