Have you ever noticed how much more we see ..

How much greater the experience ..

How intricate the world ..

How much wiser our words ..

How much more perceptive our hearing ..

When we go slowly through life .. taking time to look deeper?

Gorgeous......and yes, I have noticed. So why is it that I always seem to end up rushing again and again and again?? How do other folks find a way to really slow down? I'd love to hear.....

You and me both, Sally! There must be a balancing point for keeping up with our rapidly moving "human world" and the nature around us! Mahalo et Merci for your comments!

Oh--you two rush-around-achievers! Do not fret about going s l o w l y! You do see the beauty, you do hear the music, you do perceive the wonder of all that is here in our world. One day you Will, perforce, be slower. Enjoy your rushing!
The photos are beautiful. I have a new yellow orchid in my house - gifted by Dad on Easter. It surprises me each time I see it. It is perpetually smiling.
Love the blog-

Yes, Bill, so true that moving s l o w l y through our days enhances experience. This is the cornerstone of mindful living, an artful manner of being in the world which allows us to develop our sense of interconnectedness to all of creation. We can see, feel, smell, hear and in every way participate more fully and deeply. Less talking vs listening/quietly observing can serve up a world of magic. Lately I have joined our local group for mindful meditation. We also practice mindful walking, another form of meditation. For someone with a ping-pong kinda brain, well, it is not easy developing this skill, but from what I can see, well worth the effort. It is part of the training that teaches the profound lesson that we do indeed create our world-our experience of it. One breath, one step at a time.

Thank you for the lovely photos of the orchid. Zooming in on the flower gives such a different feeling to the experience of seeing it. I can almost feel the silky soft white smoothness of the petals. Tell Baby her Virginia admirers say: "m'ello, m'ello chere belle chat!"

Aloha et Bonjour Pat

How nicely you have written your observations. I completely understand the Ping-Pong Brain Syndrome ... being a "bouncer" myself!

Baby sends a Big Cat salut to the Virginia admirers!

Thank you, Pat, for your insightful comments. Please know I invite you to post your blog address with your comments if you wish. I know others would enjoy reading you as much as I do.

Mahalo et Merci for reading and commenting!

Thank you for the lovely orchid photos. I'll take them as a Mother's Day gift to all of us mothers and those who nurture others like a mother. When you slow down and really think about it, the word "mother" is a very powerful one!
