Shipwrecks Beach on Kauai

"Next" is an incredible word. I"ve become aware of the power inherent to "next" over the last few years. "Next" buoys my spirit, creates great positive anticipation, and is the single word which lays a foundation of hope for all future endeavors. After a defeating moment in life .. try using it .. just open your mouth, put on a beautiful smile, and say the word with great enthusiasm ... "NEXT" !! I promise, you will enjoy a moment of elation, an instant of joy, a lasting feeling of hope, and the certain knowledge everything can and will be better in the future. Make "Next" a part of your being and you can never be defeated by life's twists and turns. By internalizing this one word, your very existence will be guided by the knowledge of even better happenings in the approaching instant, moment, hour, and lifetime. Next says "there is more coming" .. Next says "forget about the past and move forward" .. Next says "you have potential before you" .. and Next says "never look back at negativity, life only moves in a forward direction and your opportunities are coming in the future". Your Hope .. your Potential .. your Happiness .. your Dreams .. they are all before you. This is a promise solidified by a simple and unassuming word ... NEXT.

Remember, anytime you suffer terrible pain associated with leaving places and persons you love as you board the homeward flight ... please, don't be saddened as you turn for one last farewell wave ... Try it - open your mouth, put on a beautiful smile, and say the word with great enthusiasm ... NEXT !! I promise, you will be happy & hopeful .....

"Next" - What a great word, and you have given me a whole new way to think about it. As I have told you before, you have a gift, and I hope one of these days you are able to put that gift to work where it will give you the monetary and self fullfillment that you so desire and constantly strive for. Keep it up!

In my opinion, this is a well written and thought out piece of work.
I will need to think about "next" as you propose it. I guess it could be
a negative word, too. What if "next" meant the surgery is waiting?
Or, for a child, being sent to the Principal's office?? Or--following
a bad day--thinking "okay, what's next"? I will think. Your use and
positive cast is certainly more happiness awakening and I do like
that. So-I will ponder----and let you know--thank you for the blog.

Every nuance is possible ... I choose the positive in hope it will manifest great future events. Your point is well taken, but I want the word "next" to be a trigger for positivity. Love you Mom :-)

I know-and that is a good thing! Next for us is the comletion of our big move and that "next" does bring a smile plus hope for years of more happiness spent here in CA closer to family. THIS is a positive "NEXT". What fun to have a simple 4 letter word that can carry emotions on its back. Thank you our Bill.

I really did need this.Thanks Brother.Someday I will be able to say "next" with a big smile, however , being able to say it would be soooo much easier had the event ,circumstance,situation,etc. not been of my doing!

I did love this, Bill. Thank you for sharing it with me. Such a smart perspective and a positive one too. Although, I do feel as though I have been shouting "Next!" for a while now (certainly as far as our living arrangements are concerned) but I will just keep putting it out there that I am ready for the next adventure.
