Catching our star
capturing our clues
must be the primary goal

Once captured
once we grasp our essence
it becomes ours to declare

I am ..
powerful phrase
connected to realized self

I am ..
mantra of those
who discover their purpose

I am ..
in the eyes of others
every action I take

Therefore ..
I am what I declare
I am what you perceive

Living my gift
caring for you
creates happiness

Only declare
when action accompanies
the declaration

Be certain
my action
benefits another

Our human existence
will then enjoy

Thank you for another of your lovely thought-provoking poems. It's difficult to make a choice, but my favorite stanza begins with: Living my gift ... (What would be the word for a stanza of three lines?)

Thank You, Cynthia. Not being a scholar, I'm afraid I have no answer for the word describing a stanza of three lines. My writing comes as it comes .. unfettered, truthfully, and with innocence born from a lack of sophisticated knowledge. What transpires from wielding my "pen" is the result of honestly living this passion to write. I'm just happy you and others find it worth reading. Possibly, in a small way, this is proof that finding and following our innate gift is beneficial to those around us. Thank you, Cynthia, for your encouraging comment!
