Talk is cheap. Opening my mouth and spouting out verbalization of what I am going to do, what I have done, what I wish I had done, when I'm going to do it, and all the associated how's and why's of doing what flowed so freely from my tongue (or pen) is cheap talk if not followed by courage and associated action designed to institute significant and necessary personal growth and change. I have written for a decade now about the importance of discovering our innate gift/gifts .. our passion .. what we were placed upon this plane of existence to "do" .. to "be" .. each individual being completely unique to all others .. special in that uniqueness. A decade of "talking" about it .. cheap talk. It is time for Action.
Discovering our innate gift/gifts is the simplistic part of this equation. Our personal essence is that which gives us the most joy, seems natural for us to pursue, and constantly gives to others as a result of our fulfillment and happiness. Sounds so very easy, and it is easy .. if you are ready to gaze into the mirror until that person gazing back reveals secrets buried under years of living for the pursuit of everything except the one thing that truly matters .. creativity from the true self.
I can only speak honestly about my own experience .. you, of course, are invited to be voyeurs to this experience over the coming months as I completely turn everything in my life upside down in active pursuit of my higher self. It has taken me some time now to exhibit the courage and take necessary actions which will eventually give me freedom and the exhilaration of exercising my creativity as I know was intended.
The first step of my journey has been instituted. I have placed our wonderful home on beautiful Kauai for sale .. not an easy decision. This action is based on trust .. trusting my newfound belief that working in the pursuit of monetary gain is the most unfulfilling act of all .. trusting the voice within which assures happiness only if we reunite with our true self .. that child we once were. With children there is no cheap talk .. I want to be that again.
I'll keep you posted .. in the loop .. aware of all happenings .. and maybe, just maybe, one or two of you will join me in pursuing your true self .. blessing the rest of us with gifts only you possess ..
