December 4, 2017 was the first day of my 40 day water only fast.  

January 12, 2018 was the last day of my 40 day water only fast.

As a result of this discipline, I received many wonderful benefits ..

Spiritual 
Physical 
Emotional 

Some experiences are best kept to self in silence ..
Therefore, I have no intention of expounding.

_______

Those of you who have faithfully followed my writings for the last 7 years may
have noticed I've written nothing in the last 2 months.

I had some healing to do

_______

It has now been 3 weeks since completion of the fast 
I've given much thought to what my first blog post would convey 
what "fast received" gift I might share with you .. ?
 
The answer to that internal question appeared yesterday ..

Today

Today is the gift 
Living happily Today  

Relinquishing control  
Accepting the events of Today 

Not regretting yesterday 
Not fearing tomorrow 

Enjoying and being thankful for Today

Have missed your special words. Hoping your fast helped in ways you intended. Living in the present is a great gift, not always easy but a gift.

Thank you, Karen. Yes, the fast was beneficial for intended ways, and also beneficial in ways I could not have foreseen. Thank you for your comment .. I have missed this interaction with my readers and am so happy to "see" you here .... Today !

Dear Bill, it is good to hear from you and I am quite surprised and interested to hear of your latest endeavor. Huge. The practices I undertook some years ago, yoga and meditation, are my path to healing and living in the now with as much grace and peace as possible. The challenges remain but steppng out of busy life and finding inner quiet and contemplation, along with a breath-centered gentle yoga practice have opened up a way for me to live more in the here & now. Best to you as you move through each and every beautiful day!

Patty, can you imagine a world without others? Our Human Communion is the most precious gift of all. What a fantastic existence we are enjoying. Even in the darkest times, empathy of others lifts us up and showers us with the warm sunshine of hope and happiness. Human Compassion .. nothing is better. Thank you, and all others, for sharing your Humanity with me! B

I was so happy to see a blog from you. I wondered how the fast might have affected you and, must admit was some concerned. 40 days of water with no reprieve---WOW!
You sent us a good blog. I now see that the 40 days was a 40 day span of healing and growing. Plus the determination of accomplishing such a feat is beyond impressing! Good for you and
