About time! What have you been up to? Not writing, so you must be working. LOVE the flower pics; are they all from your garden? Didn't know you had such a green thumb. I've sent you a few messages, yet no reply. Hope all is well.

Aloha Sonja .. So happy to "see" you! Yes, I've been on the "non-writing delinquent" list for nearly three months now. Many other happenings during that time .. some I will share in the days to come on the blog. Sickness, Recovery, Growth, Change, and Renewal are key notes to the last three months of my life and I feel Great as a result. I'm glad you love the flowers .. yes, they are in the yard .. more orchids than "Carter has little liver pills" and so many other varieties it would be a bore for me to tell you about them, but I'll keep posting photos on the blog for you and everyone else to enjoy. I will reply to your emails shortly and Mahalo Nui for visiting the blog and leaving a comment ... these comments are proof that sharing brings wonderful rewards! Aloha et Au revoir dear friend

Merci, Sharon .. and I wish the same for you as you prepare to come be a full time Kauaiian!

I'm referencing Ultimate Freedom from the perspective of becoming self realized. In the process of finding one's personal "gifts", I believe we discover how very little we actually know .. and how unimportant "knowledge" (as defined by anything other than our own self awareness) can be. This immediately frees us from having to expound on what we "know" to others and assists in diminishing our dependence or affiliation with our Ego. At this point in time, we are Free to receive Higher Learning from our inner voice, since we are no longer preoccupied with knowing more than the next Ego in the room. Our "knowledge" derived from self realization is pure, individualized, and therefore not in competition with any other entity. It is not arguable or measureable .. it just IS. Upon discovering and utilizing this "gift" we become eligible to participate in the greatest gift of all ... Sharing ... simply by following our passion on a daily basis. The result of following and utilizing ones true passion always produces "fruit" for everyone to enjoy. In turn, this Action of discovering and following our gifts provides us with Ultimate Freedom.

I'm not there yet ... but I do believe it. Mahalo Sharon, your questions and participation always stimulate me to "get connected" and I appreciate it! Aloha

Welcome to the other side. I totally feel what you write. It's amazing how we develop these ideals we hold high. When in reality it's not always needed or warranted. Cheers to not knowing everything

So happy to see "Kauai to Paris" in my mail this afternoon! I'm sorry that you have been ill, but glad that you are now well and sharing your thoughts with us. Somehow I feel that I may not understand your descriptions as well as your other readers; however, I do know that the more I try to learn about a particular subject, the more I realize how little I know about anything.

Thanks for the photo of the fabulous orchid. I always feel that if I look at those little "orchid faces" up close long enough they will begin to talk with me........they are so exquisite. (not to worry, I've not had such a conversation to date...) Happy Thanksgiving!

Coucou, Bill! it is good to hear from you! I knew you were "in process" in some capacity or another. Glad you are healthy and recovered. I know a wee bit about that, this being the year I discovered, as my dear Grandmother Mollie, a nurse, used to say: "If you've got your health, you've got everything." For me this health also includes not only the big ticker health, but mental (lawsey, have I worked on that!) and now--in high focus--spiritual health.

This has been a life-long process of course, but accelerated in last 20 years. Through yoga, breathwork and meditation, and a renewed sense of God, I have found access to deeper understanding and comfort of my tiny place in this world. "Letting go," has been critical, and as cliché as these over-used words may be, there is a whole boat load of crap we must come to terms with and "let it go!" Woohoo to that! Amen brothers and sisters!

Forgiveness was a biggie. I concluded that coursework with a decision to think that THEY all did the best they could at the time, and "I release you to your greater well-being; you are free, I am free. " Amen, again.

Not blaming, not-judging (still working on that habit) releasing expectations, and the crème de la crème, proceeding with an open, loving heart/mind, I begin again each day. Begin again realizing I won't even nearly live up to these aspirations, but the way is before me.

Oh yeah, realizing I don't know nuttin 'bout nuttin - holy cow, that is an unburdening. Eyes, ears open more, stopping and breathing into the moment. Of course I am RATTLING on big time here, but have the comfort of knowing: Bill listens. Many thanks for the presence of your blog in my life and that sweet ol' spirit behind it!

Aloha Pat! Your comment is a treat .. I'm certain everyone who takes a moment to read it will be uplifted by the message. Merci Beaucoup for sharing your "fruit" with us. Among the other very wise views you've expressed, I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment that Forgiveness is very important. In this modern world full of divorce, there are millions of children who can be freed from inner turmoil by the simple act of forgiving their parents. Being one of those children who discovered the healing of forgiveness, I wish it on all the others. Mahalo et Merci, Pat, for your insight .. and Merci for being a part of Kauai to Paris !!
